Ben Holden
Ben is the author of ‘Wanna Teach PE’ a best-selling book published by PE Scholar in 2022. Ben has worked in a large secondary school in the North East of England as Head of Physical Education for 15 years. In addition, Ben has a number of additional roles and responsibilities:
· Senior Leadership Team Member with a responsibility for Community Development.
· NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership).
· PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate Education) from Durham University.
· BA Sports Studies & Physical Education from York St John University.
- Chair of the International School Sports Federation Physical Education Committee.
· Over 20 years football coaching experience in the UK, United States and in Iraq as the assistant manager of Darfur United (Sudan) at the Viva World Cup in 2011.
· PE Teaching Mentor for over 10 years as part of Northumbria, Durham and Sunderland Universities.
· Member of the PE Scholar Team.
· Educational Consultant to Primary and Secondary Physical Education Departments.
· Delivering onsite and online Physical Education teaching training events to over 15 countries this year including onsite conferences in Brazil, Kenya, Serbia & Cyprus.
